During their 17 years in HSV, Buddy has been involved with: The Pastoral Council and has been its Chairman; Liturgy and Long Range Planning Committees; Headed the Columbarium and Cemetery program; Music Minister; CPID; Extraordinary Minister to the Homebound; Deputy Grand Knight and Trustee for the Council; and numerous other activities for the Knights.
During this time, Martha has been active in the Ladies of the Sacred Heart and as a Eucharistic Minister. She has also been involved in most of Buddy’s projects and made sure that he did things right.

Don has been a Eucharistic Minister, lector, usher and served on the Parish Council. He was a Eucharistic Adorer in Hot Springs and is one now at Sacred Heart. For 10 years Don was the Director of Finance and then Executive Director of Christopher Homes of Arkansas, a Ministry of the Diocese that provides housing for the very low income elderly. He is also the author of a book on the history of Hot Springs Village entitled “Full Circle 1957 to 2002.”
Anne has sung in the choir, been a cantor, Eucharistic Minister and lector, and taught CCD and Pre-Cana classes. When they were in Hot Springs, she was the first woman president of the St. John’s Parish Council and in 1989 became the Respect Life Director for the Diocese, a position she served in for 16 years. She founded Project Rachel in 1991, an outreach to women who have had an abortion, and is still its Director. Anne served for four years on the National Advisory Board to the U.S. Conference of Bishops, the only women representing Region 10 which encompasses Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
At present she is a member of St. Monica’s Guild, sings in the Resurrection Choir, is a homebound Eucharistic Minister, is on the New Parishioners Greeting Committee and is an Hourly Captain for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

For the past several years he has been on the CPID team to raise funds for the intellectually disabled, and on the Ham sales team to raise funds for the Christmas baskets that are given to the needy in our area.
Roger has been a Eucharistic Minister for several years and a facilitator for two of the Adult Religious Education programs in the parish. He put together a display for the Narthex to promote the Year of Faith with some 25 different pamphlets with truths of our faith.
Four years ago Roger started and continues to lead a Prayer Service at each Men’s Club meeting. Five years ago he started and continues to lead the Friday Prayer Group of about 26 parishioners who meet at the church after Mass on Friday every week. Roger also organizes a team each month from the Friday Prayer Group to cook and serve dinner to about 30 men at the Samaritan Ministries' homeless shelter in Hot Springs.
Marcia is often seen and heard as a daily mass cantor and is a team leader for the “Prayer Warrior” group in the parish. She has been an organizer, promoter, and facilitator for numerous Adult Religious Education Bible studies and programs for the parish over the past five years.
Marcia is also a leader of the Friday Prayer Group along with Roger. She has served on the Pastoral Council and has been a member of the Education Committee.
