Father Bill commented on today being the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation and the beginning of the Season of Creation, which concludes on the feast of Saint Francis of Assisi on the fourth of October. During this period, Christians worldwide renew their faith in the God of creation and join in prayer and work for the care of our common home.

GK Murray Claassen thanked all of those that helped put the meeting together.

It was a special day for Monsignor Friend when Murray Claassen, Rick Phillips and Bob Honzik presented him with a check in the amount of $46,000.00 for the Seminarian fund!! There were also another seven checks in the amount of $500.00 presented to diocesan vocation director.

Our Knight of the Month went to Ken Gordon who was recognized for leading a quick start of our Council membership growth effort.  He organized the Membership Committee, has been contacting prospective new members and coordinated the update of the Council publicity pamphlet.
