Dear Brother Knight,

Welcome to the 2020 Campaign for People with Intellectual Disabilities (CPID).  Your efforts over the past years have made this the flagship event for the charities we support within our community.  In this unprecedented pandemic era our charitable donations are needed more than ever before.  I know we count on you to make this a successful campaign!

Last year Brother Knights donated and helped to raise over $30,000.  These funds supported Abilities Unlimited, The Caring Place, First Step, The Special Olympics of Arkansas, ARC of Little Rock, The Hot Springs Civitan Club and intellectually challenged residents at Good Samaritan.  Your efforts made a tremendous difference in the lives of countless neighbors that receive help from the caregiving agencies we support.

I ask you to make a prayerful commitment to ensure the success of this year’s campaign by making a generous contribution.  Checks should be made payable to “Knights of Columbus” with “CPID” on the memo line and mailed to Rick Phillips, Financial Secretary, 11 Vuelta Lane, Hot Springs Village, AR, 71909.  Alternatively, you can bring your check to the October 8th Council meeting.

Due to the impact of the pandemic, we are making changes to our traditional campaign.  In addition to your personal contribution, I ask that you participate in spreading our new crowd funding effort.  We are utilizing GoFundMe to source donations from as many people as possible to support our 2020 campaign.  In order to maximize the number of donors, it is important that you share the link below with as many friends in the Village as possible.

Also consider sharing the link with your out-of-town friends and family members and ask that they share the link with others.

The "Tootsie Roll Drive" gate collection component of the campaign has been postponed until Spring 2021.  Details will be provided at a later date.

God bless you for your Charity, Unity and Fraternity in doing Christ’s work within our community.

Fraternally,
Murray Claassen
