May's Knight of the Month is Rick Hiemanz. For years Rick has been the Kitchen Boss. You've always seen him at the Parish Breakfasts. He also works in the Kitchen at most of our other events. Always in control, knows where everything is and where everything goes - and just the right timing to get all those hungry Knights fed.

Rick and his wife Gerri take regular trips on their custom Honda Gold Wing Motorcycle. Sometimes gone for a month or two 'just seeing the world'. I personally think he is happiest when he is flying down the road on that Honda.

Ken Silvers April Knight of the Month
One of the hardest working Knights in our Council is Ken Silvers. For years he has been in control of our Kitchen Crew for Council meetings as well as Fish Fry Fridays, multiple Spaghetti Dinners and other important events. Chef Ken is responsible for a huge amount of our yearly income because all Parishioners know 'If Ken is Chef - it's going to be great'. Thank you Ken for all the sweat long hours he spends in the kitchen.

All of Ken's - Kitchen Crew have a great time working along with Ken. It doesn't take long after everyone is assigned a job and the hot food starts flyin' that Ken might break out in a song from Willy Nelson or Janice Joplin. Everyone is welcome to join in because the food is great and no one cares what we sound like. Just working with Ken and the Kitchen Crew is one of the best jobs in the Council.

The Knight of the Month Award was presented by Grand Knight Murray Claassen to Tom Donnelly.

In late January, the Health Mart pharmacy began offering COVID vaccine for villagers and the surrounding area.

Tom Donnelly in coordination with Michael Butler, the owner of Village Health Mart, organized volunteers from the Knights Knights from Council 10208 to assist with the first
vaccination clinic on January 20th. Nearly 2,000 Hot Springs Village residents received their first COVID-19 vaccination at Balboa Baptist Church. Tom has coordinated 8-10 clinics since then.

Due to Tom's perseverance, he was also the driving force in bringing the clinic to Sacred Heart for the Vaccinations to be administered this past February 25th and again on March 25th.  This is just a very small part of all Tom does for our Council and Sacred Heart Church.  Bless you Tom and all you do!!
