Fred and Jean Jungers
The June 2017 Family of the Month is Fred and Jean Jungers. This family is always willing to pitch in for whatever they are needed to do for Council 10208. Last year Fred and Jean undertook a labor of love that has not only put our Council on the map nationally, but has changed the lives of so many people with special needs. I am talking, of course, about the Special Olympics and more specifically our Councils Olympic Town. They do everything from recruiting volunteers, to making sure all volunteers have a place to stay, to making sure we have a delicious meal after the Friday night celebration of the Mass. This is truly a year round job, as planning for the nexts years Olympics start as soon as the prior year is over. They truly have done an outstanding job and we hope that they remain in their posisions for many years to come.

Let us congratulate this exemplary Family for their service to our Parish, Council, Community, and State.
Walter and Judy Free - Family of Month
Walter and Judy Free - Family of Month
Congratulation to Walter and Judy Free for being honored as Council 10208 May Family of the Month!

Walter is instrumental in coordinating the Junior Golf program in HSV, as well as helping with the Free Throw contest for area children.  He also helps cook at the Councils Fourth of July Picnics, and the Lenten Fish Fry.  Walter is very involved in the coats for kids projects, as well as helping to man the concession stand at the Jessieville Basketball games.  He sells tickets for both the Fish Fry and the million dollar truck raffle.  Walter also helps to put up and take down the crosses for life.

Judy assists Walter each year at the Special Olympics, as well as the Fourth of July picnics.  She helps make posters for the free throw shooting contest, as well as help at the concession stand at Jessieville during the recent State Tournament.  Judy is the Captain of the St. Judes Guild, which supports religious education for youth, as well as coordinates the receptions for First Communion and Confirmations.  She helps deliver baskets at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.

Our Council is indeed lucky to have such a hardworking family to carry forth so many projects and activities.

Scott and Jeane Krantz
The Family of the Month is Scott and Jean Franz.  Scott is a retired US Air Force veteran.  He ushers at the 10 A.M. Sunday Mass, is the Sergeant at Arms for the Men’s Club, delivers meals-on-wheels, participates in the annual  Campaign for People with Intellectual Disabilities, is a 1:00 A.M. Perpetual Eucharistic Adorer, Chairs all the Parish Breakfast events, participates in all fund-raising golf efforts and tournaments, assisted with Mardi Gras this year, assists with the Fish Fries, serves as a waiter for both the Chicken Bake and Fish Bake with the Men’s Club, waits tables and helps clean-up for the Seminarian Endowment Dinners, has helped with meal-preparation and service for the homeless veterans at St. Francis House in Little Rock and much more.  He is truly a forthright Sir Knight exemplifying charity, unity,   fraternity, and patriotism.  Scott is a model of “servant leadership” applied: In Service to One, In Service to All.

Scott’s better half, Jean, is involved with the Sacred Heart Linen Ministry, is a Rosary Maker, and a Perpetual Adorer.  She’s a member of the Ladies of the Sacred Heart St. Anthony Guild, and is a volunteer at Good Sam Services at Home Office.  Whatever the chore and whenever asked, we can count on Jean to pitch in.  What a wonderful team.  We’re blessed to have such a wonderful family among us.
