Two Knights, Tom Quevillon and Phil Carl, received the October Knight of the Month award for their work in co-chairing the Disabilities Campaign which raised $6,121 after having been delayed one week due to inclement weather.
Tom Quevillon has been married to Rose for 51 years. He became a knight in 1964 and joined the 4th degree 10 years later. Tom is a server and an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist and takes communion to the sick. He is a member of the Disaster Response Team and also served on the Welcoming Committee.
For the Knights he served as Financial Secretary for five years and was Treasurer for four years. Tom has worked on various committees and is currently Community Director and a member of the 1st Degree Exemplification Team. He is also a member of the Honor Guard.
He volunteers at St. Joseph's Hospital all day on Wednesdays and makes visits to the sick in the hospital.
He serves at mass during the week and on the weekends. He is a member of the Disaster Response Team and the Helping Hands, and he was chair of the Finance Committee and a member of the Pastoral Council.
Phil also volunteers at St Joseph's Hospital and is a Director of the Evening Lion's Club.
