The HSV KofC Treasure Sale raised $14,000 last month. The Council's bi-annual fundraiser for our two Catholic Schools, St. John's in Hot Springs and Our Lady of Fatima in Benton, was a huge success. The two schools were the sole beneficiaries of all the hard work, hundreds of volunteer hours, and generous donations from the parish. In the attached photos, Grand Knight Ed Doyle presented a check for $7,000 to St. John's School in Hot Springs. Accepting the donation is Janet Edgar, school principal. In the other picture, the Deputy Grand Knight, Rich Rivera, presented a check for $7,000 to Jan Cash, school principal at Our Lady of Fatima. The kids at school were very excited. In all cases, the two schools were very thankful and will benefit greatly from the charity of our works. Great job brother Knights, Knight families, and all who helped!

Family of the Month - Bob and Mary Anne Honzik |
The Family of the Month for September 2018 is Bob and Mary Anne Honzik. Bob and Mary Anne are the “Dynamic Duo” of our parish. Bob is a Past Grand Knight, a director on Bishop Taylor’s Seminarian Endowment Committee, an usher at the 10:00 Mass, serves on the Parish Finance Council, Arkansas KofC State Council Vocations Director, organizer of our parish’s Taste-of-Faith fundraisers for the past eight years and he’s a perpetual adorer. Bob also is the moving force behind our parish men’s retreats at Fletcher Hall in Little Rock. He made a brief entry into the furniture business when he ran the “Share-a-Chair” campaign for the retreat center. Last, but not least, Bob instigated and managed the refurbishing of the Priests Circle burial area at the diocesan cemetery in Little Rock.
Mary Anne is a Eucharistic Minister, altar server, past chair of the Parish Life Committee, Taste of Faith organizer, Memorial Mass and Dinner organizer and worked what seemed like twenty hour days on our recent parish Treasure Sale. Knight of the Month - Frank Cox |
The Treasure Sale is a project with many moving parts that require coordination and managerial expertise.
