Mike Kerwin (r) is very involved with the church, community, and the Knights.  He is a Eucharistic Minister, Altar Server, 4^th Degree Honor Guard, and a member of the 1^st degree exemplification team.  He works with Meals on Wheels, is assistant to Finance Leader, and coordinates dinners for both the Samaritan Ministry and Men’s Club.  He also volunteers at the Jackson House and is Co-Director with Sir Knight Bill Nosek helping the Homeless Veterans program at St Francis House in Little Rock.   Mike works with the Helping Hands Program and delivers Thanksgiving/Christmas baskets.

Danny Murphy (l) joined the Knights in 2006 and has been outside and inside guards as well as warden. He has worked with the disaster relief team and the Camp for the Blind. He is better known as the chef cooking the shrimp creole for the Mardi Gras Party for the past 7 years. Danny has been quite active in a number of activities such as the Fall Fest, CPID, Friday Night Bingo, Men’s Club, Meals on Wheels, Jackson House, plus Thanksgiving, Easter and Christmas basket distributions. Please give a warm welcome to Danny for making such a contribution to the activities of this council.

2012 Dec Knight

This award for December goes to  Mike Welsh (r). Mike was this year’s Chairman of the Ham Sales project after having served as co-chairman the past two years.  Besides being chairman on this committee, he traveled to Morrilton to pick up the ham products, assisted with their distribution on December 19^th and was involved with distributing presents to the students at ALE.

 

Mike was chancellor last year and has assumied the duties of program director this fraternal year. Mike is also involved in many projects throughout the year such as Friday Night Bingo at Good Sam’s, Mardi Gras, Lasagna Charity Dinner, Special Olympics, CPID, Fall Fest Dinner, and the Christmas Dinner. He and his wife, Gladys, recently attended the Subiaco Retreat held in September.  Mike is also a server at mass. Please give Mike and Gladys a warm welcome as he receives the certificate for Knight of the Month.
